全国人大常委会1日表决通过实行宪法宣誓制度的决定，誓词共70字：“我宣誓：忠于中华人民共和国宪法，维护宪法权威，履行法定职责，忠于祖国，忠于人民，恪尽职守、廉洁奉公，接受人民监督，为建设富强、民主、文明、和谐的社会主义国家努力奋斗！”
全国人大常委会第十五次会议举行了闭幕会，会议应到169人，出席155人，符合法定人数，会议以154票赞成，0票反对，1票弃权高票通过了国家安全法。以153票赞成，0票反对，2票弃权表决通过了全国人大常委会关于实行宪法宣誓制度的决定，会议还表决通过了其他事项。

6月24日，十二届全国人大常委会第十五次会议审议了关于实行宪法宣誓制度的决定草案。草案规定，凡经人大及其常委会选举或者决定任命、“一府两院”任命的国家工作人员，正式就职时公开向宪法宣誓。同时提出所有宣誓人员适用统一的65字誓词。
