摘要：英语作为一种世界各国文化、体育之间交流的一种工具，随着体育运动的兴盛越来越显得重要起来。所以做好体育英语的学习和培训工作，是解决当前体育英语翻译短缺的一种手段，文章通过对体育英语在词汇、语法和翻译口语上一些特点进行分析，提出体育英语在翻译上的一些技巧和方法。

一、体育英语的特点
1．口语化
体育比赛国际化，体育赛事的转播，人们可以通过报刊杂志或者网络了解当前的国际比赛，为了满足更多人们的需要，以往文章或者网络出现的很多晦涩难懂的词汇越来越少，而是更加简洁、口语化。例如， Michael Jordan represented the United States at the 1984 Los Angeles Games. 迈克.乔丹代表美国参加了1984年洛杉矶奥运会
Two time first team All-NBA Team, Named the 1996-97 Schick NBA Rookie of the Year, becoming the first 76ers player to ever win the award
阿伦-艾弗森，获得1996-97赛季NBA“最佳新秀”称号，2次以首发身份参加“全明星大赛”，成为76人队首位获此殊荣的球员。
2专业性 一些体育周刊或者新闻中经常出现很多关于体育运动类的专业性词汇、短语、规则、等，如果读者对于体育类似的体育新闻或者运动规则了解甚少，无论是阅读、听力、还是写作他们就很难理解此类术语。以一篇篮球新闻为例：
In 1999-2000 season, hit 172 pieces of three-pointer , rank the second of NBA; The hit rate of free throw is 0. 887, rank the 5th of NBA; The hit rate of three-pointer is 0. 423, rank the 11th of NBA season原意是季节，指一年四季的总称，而此处翻译为赛季，常常用在体育比赛的中表示比赛从开始到结束的时间区段。hit rate命中率、three-pointer ,三分球投手、free throw罚球等词汇都带有鲜明的运动色彩。此段新闻可
翻译为：雷-阿伦在1999-2000赛季，投中172个三分球，列NBA第2位；罚球命中率0.887，列NBA第5位；三分球命中率0.423，列NBA第11位。此处列出一些其他常见的篮球术语，例如：pick and roll挡切战术、zone defense 区域防守，区域联防、throw in 发球入场、shot clock violation 24秒违例、goaltending 干扰投篮、double dribble 两次运球、offensive rebound 进攻篮板球、double pump 拉杆投篮、Deny the ball绕前防守等等， 在NBA篮球比赛中都具有其独特的意思。
3、语言简洁
为了便于记忆、说明、表达意思，体育英语更提倡语言的的简单、通俗易懂。面向人群更加广泛。例如：
Twice-time Most Valuable Player. amed the NBA Finals MVP in both 1999 and 2003 to
become just the third player in history to earn Finals MVP honors in each of their first two trips to the Finals. Just the second player in NBA history to be named to both an All-NBA Team and an All-Defensive Team in each of his first six seasons .
蒂姆-邓肯（Tim Duncan）两次荣获NBA“最有价值球员”称号.1999和2003年当选NBA总决赛最有价值球员（MVP），成为NBA历史上第三位在头两次进入总决赛就获得该荣誉的球员（另外两为是魔术师约翰逊和飞人乔丹）. NBA历史上第二位连续六次进入NBA全明星阵容和最佳防守阵容的球员（大卫-罗宾逊是首位，而他连续七个赛季获此殊荣）.
4、多使用祈使句 陈述句 省略句等短小句型。
有的文章中或者口语中为了简化句子结构，丰富语言信息，会运用更多的简单的句式，使得文章的结构严紧，内容丰富。
（1）省略句，通常出现在报道性文章的标题中，NO.1 NBA draft pick--Dwight howardNBA头名状元—德怀特﹒霍华德。
Finished fourth in voting for the 2002-03 NBA Rookie of the Year Award, Voted to the 2002-03 NBA All-Rookie Second Team, Named the Western Conference Rookie of the Month for games played in March, 2003. 吉诺比利在02-03赛季年度新秀评选中名列第四，被选入02-03赛季第二新秀阵容，当选2003年3月西部最佳新秀。Voted 、Named翻译为评选、选为，其主语是吉诺比利，此处省略了Be动词。直接用Named表示“被选为”的意思，时态用了一般过去式，表示事件或者动作发生在过去时间。
（2） 祈使句，
通常是为表达其命令语气会经常使用祈使句。如: 羽毛球项目:Testtheshuttle!试
球!Change 足球项目:Afoul!犯规!Playon!继续比赛!Outside!界外球!Stoppushing!不许推人!Agoal!得分等等。
（3） 在一些体育新闻或报刊中使用较长的陈述句详细的叙述比赛过程，让读者或者听众更加清楚比赛详细赛况。例如：
Andre Drummond had 30 points and 25 rebounds to lead Team Hill to a 142-136 victory over Team Webber on Friday in the NBA Rising Stars Challenge, part of the All-Star weekend festivities.
2014年NBA全明星周末新秀挑战赛在今日率先登场。由德拉蒙德和利拉德等人领衔的格兰特-希尔队挑战由戴维斯和迈卡威领衔的克里斯-韦伯队。最终格兰特-希尔队142-136战胜克里斯-韦伯队，德拉蒙德拿下30分25篮板，成为全场的MVP，其中篮板数创下了新秀赛的纪录。

随着体育国际化，北京奥运会的成功举办，BNA中国赛，中国网球公开赛等一系列赛事在中国的举办，在我国掀起体育的热潮，同时也带动了体育英语的发展，体育英语有着与普通英语不同的特点，文章列举了体育英语的几个特点，参照普通英语的翻译方法，总结出几种体育英语的翻译技巧，时代在进步发展，体育也在发展，体育英语也会不断出现新的词汇，在体育英语学习中，应当善于抓住词语之间的规律和联系，在英语学习中，要做到融会贯通，掌握词汇的意思，同时将其更好融入具体的英语学习环境中，才能更好发挥英语做体育交流的工具的作用。
