Chart 1 shows the reasons why people choose to shop online. Of all the people surveyed, 49%
think that there are many varieties of products in online shops. About one third of them say that
reasonable price is the most appealing factor. And 25% hold that online shopping is so convenient
that consumers can buy what they want anywhere at any time. Interestingly, 5% of the people even
mention that they can make new friends through online shopping.
However, many consumers also express their concerns about online shopping. Among all the
concerns in Chart 2, the quality of the products, which accounts for as much as 55%, attracts my
attention. Personally, I agree that what consumers get from online shops sometimes differs from
what can be seen in the pictures, which can be very disappointing. Therefore, we should make sure
the product is of good quality before making a purchase.

I am really feeling bad that you are being troubled by overweight these days. The problem you are facing is common among our teenagers.
I have just read an article about overweight kids. It is said that overweight kids don’t exercise enough or eat unhealthy foods which contain too much sugar or fat. No matter what causes your problem, I suggest you go on a balanced diet or just eat less for half a year and see the result. Also, don’t forget to take more exercise. You know, every afternoon after class I play basketball together with my classmates, and it does work for me.

A Snowstorm
On March 5th, 2007, our city witnessed a disaster of snowstorm that had never happened in the last hundred years.
The snowstorm lasted for a whole day, greatly affecting the life of people. Early in morning it was snowing heavily and many vehicles were trapped on the roads. Therefore, people were forced to head for their destinations on foot. Not only were all the flights cancelled but also many trains were delayed. The city government called on all the citizens and soldiers to take an active part in the activities of cleaning snow.
Besides, the city government took all kinds of urgent measures to rescue the people trapped in the snowstorm to ensure that everything returned to normal as soon as possible.
