　　摘要

　　9·11 恐怖袭击事件之后，美国政府采取“酷刑”方式从嫌疑人口中获取有效情报与线索从而对这一事件展开调查，但这一做法引起了社会各阶层的强烈反对。笔者选取《赫芬顿邮报》官网与此相关的 13 篇新闻报道作为文本进行翻译实践研究，这有助于人们了解更多与“酷刑”相关的信息。该类文本的内容都是有关恐怖事件之后，社会各界对美国政府采取的“酷刑”手段所做出的评论。翻译此类新闻类文本时，译文要能准确传达原文作者意图。因此，笔者运用格特（Gutt）的关联翻译理论对该类文本的汉译进行指导，以期达到译文与原文的最佳关联。

　　本文首先分析所选文本，并列举翻译过程中出现的问题以及相应的解决策略。然后，通过分析汉语译文中的具体翻译实例，以期提升译者自身翻译水平并促进该类文本的翻译研究。最后，分析和总结此次翻译过程中译者的一些收获与不足。

　　Abstract

　　After the 9·11 attack on the United States of America, the U.S. government interrogated thedetainees with a series of “torture” methods. They wanted to get some information through theseways. However, the most part of society are strongly against these. To know more informationabout “torture”, the author translates some reports or comments which are published on thewebsite - The Huffington Post. When the news texts are translated, the translation must convey theoriginal idea accurately. To achieve the optimal relevance between the translated texts and theoriginal one, the author applies Relevance Theory in the Chinese translation of news texts.

　　Firstly, this thesis analyses the translation texts, and lists some problems and correspondingsolutions. What's more, the author exemplifies and probes into the strategies applied in translatingwords and sentences in the source language. This helps to develop the author's comprehensiveability, especially the translation skills. In the end, some gains and deficiencies in the author'scomprehension of the news texts and the adopted translation methods are summarized.
