With the development of people’material life, more and more people are discussing the question what gives us the greatest pleasure and satisfaction. At first, i think it is very important for us to define the greatest sense of pleasure and satisfaction. Most people think that it is equal to money, fame, pride and self-respect which come from the attainments of desires. However, in my mind, the feeling of happiness brought by the attainments is superficial and will not last long because the attainment is just a result and has little meaning for people. I hold the view that the greatest pleasure and satisfaction includes our meaningful and comfortable life, our happiness of getting improved and the satisfaction of finding the true self which we get during the pursuit of our desires. What the pursuit of our desires gives us is much more than we can think, and it brings us the greatest sense of pleasure and satisfaction.
First of all, we have a colorful and meaningful life on our way to pursue our desires. As we all know, we need much devotion in order to pursue our desires. The happiness is devotion, so the process is full of pleasure. For example, there was an old man who sat by the bank staring at the buoy on the river.From dawn to dusk, he still got nothing in his hands. However, he was happy at ease. That was because that he paid much devotion and he enjoyed himself during the process. At the same time, pursuing our desires, we have to make great efforts and to pay much perspiration. As an old saying, the pleasure and satisfaction always comes after your sincere experiences. So we are pleasant and satisfied. Moreover, on our way to pursue our dreams, we face different unknown choices and challenges. They make our life more interesting and colorful. Secondly, we get improved both in our knowledge and soul in pursuit of our desires. The pursuit of our desires also make us full of hope and energy, which encourages us to have a stronger soul. Hope is a good thing, maybe the best thing for us. It makes us dream. I think it is one of the most important factors that make us more confident and more optimistic. In the movie Pursuit of Happiness, the protagonist got improved not only in his knowledge, but also in his soul. He spared no efforts to improve himself in order to make a better life and pursue the happiness. With our efforts during the pursuit of our desires, we become better an better.
Finally, we find the true self and know what is the valuable thing we should do
after our devotion of the pursuit of our desires. We always do not see clearly who we are, so it is difficult for us to make right choices. On our way to pursue our desires, we may face many difficulties, challenges even failures. But all of them teach us how to grow and help us find the inner self. In addition, we are growing up with our steps walk forward in pursuit of our desires . We become much maturer as we experience different kinds of things. So we can be able to use our mind to think twice before actions. Just as we have the time to sit down to see where we are after a long time to climb the mountain, we need to stop our step to see the true position of ourself after a long time to pursue our desires.
